IGNITION TRANSFORMS THE ART OF CARE INTO THE ART OF PROJECTION
PROJECT SCOPE:
- Charged with creating an immersive experience that would ignite the Art of Care conference theme for a healthcare client’s 3,000 delegates, Ignition used the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas as their canvas delivering dynamic, relevant content geared to inspire, engage and connect their audience through their unified mission of enriching patients’ lives.
- The main traffic thoroughfare was transformed into an immersive, moving art gallery. After laser scanning the entire surface area of the hallway from floor to ceiling for a full day, twelve 30,000 lumen projectors were installed to paint over 18,000 square feet of projection surface boasting millions of pixels and beautiful three-dimensional, customized content. A 25-foot-wide video screen at the end of the hallway punctuated the experience, engulfing attendees with imagery and messaging of the Art of Care.
- Seven unique and dynamic art galleries rotated over the three-day event to keep attendees engaged, build anticipation and excitement, and generate buzz and a unique photo sharing opportunity. The two keynotes, Alexa Meade, whose unique optical illusions turn three-dimension spaces into two-dimensional works of art, painting humans into living portraits, and legendary Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, were each paid homage with their own hallway tribute and mesmerizing, 360-degree walk of fame.
In addition to the moving art gallery, Ignition also projection mapped the pool with color, pattern, texture and content. For the final show-stopper, the Ignition Team created a water screen where projection immersed attendees in a moving art deco kaleidoscope.

Other activations included pop-up novelty acts who performed on the Art of Entertainment stage, electrifying the audience with live speed painting exhibitions, break dance challenges and sleight-of-hand illusions.
A large-scale work-of-art was created live and in real-time as guests, adorned with colorful boas, funky sunglasses, princess tiaras and holding wads of cash, posing in front of iconic Las Vegas backdrops through the magic of green screen technology. The collage proved the healthcare company was stronger together as each printed happy face built the masterpiece.
The client feedback and resulting attendee Return on Emotion “ROE” surpassed expectations with huge accolades. The experience won the International Association of Exhibitions and Events’ (IAEE) Most Innovative Use of Technology award.
“The hallway was a highlight of the event with outstanding posts on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and the social wall in Crowd Compass. It quickly became a hot spot for attendees and photo-ops. Several groups heard about the Immersion Hallway from different hotels in Las Vegas, and numerous tours to see the technology followed. It created buzz and energy that was palpable and infectious, and sparked the opportunity to offer this activation as a potential sponsorship to suppliers for future events.”
